The members of Cosio all met ...became friends... and formed a band.

The word Cosio is a last name...it could be a first name, but here it is a band name. Called to represent a family in a loose sense of the word. The music we make is meant to be a celebration of finding commonality among a few. More than anything, we just want to continue making music together by whatever means bestows that pleasure on us.  There are certain touchstones that as friends and as a band we have agreed hold value to us, and consequently these values come out in our music with every member singing out. We long for a time when craftsmanship took precedence over mass production, and when natural talent was as heralded as marketability.... but we may be too late to catch that train. There is a battle for artistic credibility in music today and whether we win or we lose-- we will be playing a song. Could be a dirge or a victory march...regardless, there will be a song.
